Greenway PrimeSuite EMR software is an ambulatory Health IT solution offering clinical, financial, and administrative services to clinics and medical practices. Designed to be user-centric and support decision making, Greenway Health EMR system is available in the on-site server and cloud-based platforms so clinics/practices are free to choose what suits them best.

Users of the Cloud-based Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software solution can access patient medical files, complete evaluations and write notes and reports easily. They can also use the software for claims and billing even when they are not in the clinic. This allows clinicians to spend more time with patients giving care – which is exactly where they want to be.

Greenway Health EHR software offers many modules to support medical practitioners across the industry. Each of the modules has its own focus and can be integrated with the main application at any time. This means that the system is able to grow with you as your needs and requirements evolve over time.

This application also supports more than 4,000 sharable and customizable templates, Clinical Documentation, Primary Care, specialty-specific EMR, ICD Coding and can seamlessly integrate with almost any type of diagnostic equipment and imaging device.

Greenway Health Prime Suite is ICD-10 ready and Meaningful Use (MU) Stages 1 and 2 compliant. It is also pre-validated to feature points towards NCQA patient-centered medical home (PCMH) recognition.

    Pros: Great for a small group that doesn't need a lot of stuff in their software.

    Cons: But I was a little bit frustrated with a new way of maneuvering through charting.

    Verdict: Most EMR's have the ability to create different access for different users and user types.

    Pros: PrimeSUITE is very user friendly and that is one reason we chose it over the other products we looked at, we often have medical students, NP students and MA students come through our office for a training rotation and they all seem to pick up on the software within a day.

    Cons: Nothing

    Verdict: Greenway has so many features that makes every aspect of working in a medical office very smooth.

    Pros: We actually purchased Greenway after a merger of two physicians and two different software programs. Greenway was the only software that completely impressed us and that we jumped on, without hesitation. . The customer support team was superb and helped us every step.

    Cons: We are very pleased with this product. There no cons. Keep it up.

    Verdict: Purchasing Greenway is a decision we haven't ever regretted.

    Pros: If you like DOS this system is perfect for you as it allows you to program and make your own forms.

    Cons: The basic model of the software is too expensive. Almost all the features are considered as add-ons which mean there is a cost for them.

    Verdict: Lots of features are available but none are included in the amount you pay them for the software.

    Pros: Practice management and practice analytics is my daily job. It is a one stop shop to manage the practice. Reports are very informative and functional for managing the every day business.

    Cons: Training for new products can become overwhelming sometimes.

    Verdict: A great product that has evolved along with technology.

    Pros: Demographics are good, plus good amount of fabricated reports.

    Cons: No population health interface. Too many clicks and most of the times it proves difficult to interface with other HL7 software.

    Pros: Easy and good workflow for staff and providers. Clinical records are easily customize-able which is a perk.

    Cons: It would be much better if the cost were less.

    Pros: Claims entry & transmitting with the Practice Management system is very efficient as the coding automatically imports from the EMR so there's no duplication of data entry. The developers at Greenway listen to the users of the system, and updates often contain new modalities that were developed after suggestions from doctors, nurses, or mid levels.

    Cons: I can't say anything bad about this system.

    Verdict: The chart documentation is challenging and is dependent upon carefully streamlined templates. I believe that aspect of the system is superb.

    Cons: Most forms and notes are built with primary specialty in mind. This software is less diverse for specific specialties.

    Pros: The Greenway system is super user friendly and the customer support and technical support is very helpful

    Cons: The canned reports do not give all the information you need so you have to utilize the practice analytics system.

    Pros: Nice software with a bit too many options. The thing I like best is the customer service. The staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful with some of the issues we were facing with the software.

    Cons: With too many features packed in a single product, navigation becomes a bit difficult with this software. You need highly trained personnel who are adept at the use of the system to utilize it at its full potential. Learning the system proved to be quite time consuming for us, but once learned, it became a very useful tool.

    Verdict: Before buying this software, consult practices that are having trouble with the system and also clinics using it efficiently. Assess their staff and then compare them with your staff to see whether they will be able to operate it properly or not.

    Pros: Very useful to have a software that offers patient chart & scheduler along with the billing side under one roof. Templates are more than easy to tweak. The customer support is really helpful.

    Cons: The appointment & scheduling windows are too small. The patient portal, mobile access & other highlighted featured are pay for features.

    Verdict: It’s a good idea to get a software that is a complete solution with a practice management, EMR & a patient portal but one needs to make sure the EMR functions according to the needs of the practitioner.

    Pros: This phased approach helped keep our clinic functioning as smoothly as possible during the transition.

    Cons: The time to really mold your own templates, you would have a difficult time no matter what area in which you practice medicine.

    Verdict: I would encourage all specialist practices to give them an educated look to see if the product would fit their practice.

    Pros: This is easily recognized in our community as there are many different types of software being utilized.

    Cons: The staff and customer support are always so very helpful and nice.

    Pros: Greenway has the foundation, expertise, and tools all built into their product to make this happen. To scheduling, to clinical documentation, to orders and results, e-prescribing, billing and all the other components of a single patient's visit.

    Cons: I like everything about it.

    Verdict: I would recommend their electronic health record solution to anyone from the with multiple locations and specialties.

    Pros: We have been using the system for about 2 months now. Though I can see some good may come of it down the road.

    Cons: It prescribed insulin in milliliters and not in units, It has slowed my practice down in Family Medicine It is hard to find the right diagnosis.

    Verdict: I also hope for their sake that our implementation was an aberration.

    Cons: Our trainer could not log us on to the system and we were missing needed hardware amongst other things. These are issues that should have been known about or dealt with prior to trying to train us but there was no one to take responsibility. Moreover, there seems to be a charge for everything monthly per provider integrate an EKG -up front fee and monthly charge, etc.

    Verdict: They need to improve the E-Prescribing and make it simpler for an internist to use before.

    Pros: The Greenway was EMR ob/gyn software friendly and also that we are located about an hour from Greenway's corporate headquarters. We basically had to reset up all of our payers which for the volume that we have was tedious and time consuming and we were basically functioning at our full capacity in about 2-3 months.

    Cons: Nothing

    Verdict: It really streamlines the functions throughout the office the benefits to us from the system is that once you have set up to your need the EMR.

    Pros: All staff and providers are fully functional on the product and have been since implementation. We spent many hours prior to deployment thinking through and discussing our workflow and planning for the change and it paid off.

    Cons: Learning curve should be reduced

    Cons: We are not utilizing Prime suite. When we asked about the training, we discovered that it was a webinar. According to the expert who came to our office but when I email questions such as I have not yet to get a response.

    Cons: It is overall a very good product, I can't find any cons.

    Pros: I dont like it.

    Cons: It is both difficult to use and expensive! My previous (EHR) electronic health records was far superior at a fraction. I have spent a month trying to learn this program and have found it to be completely counter intuitive and somewhat detrimental to patient care and it's a very poorly program almost.

    Pros: I like best about PrimeSUITE. Tracking patient visits for entering charges is also very good you have to enter all the introductory information twice, unless you save pieces of templates to use.

    Cons: The whole process is template-driven, and you will need to customize every template you use if you expect to get anything done The templates are not smart; there is little linkage between them.

    Verdict: Have one of their sales reps bring the software to you.

    Pros: It is just your basic EMR systems provider. Nothing special It's too hard to keep up with the changes.

    Cons: The prescription side of it does not work half the time as far as pulling from the patient formulator and sending prescriptions electronically.

    Pros: We have been live for three years, and the whole experience has been horrible. When we call, we are on hold for an average of two hours before we are disconnected.

    Cons: Company recently merged/acquired with Success EHS and Intergy, So Greenway has three appendages to manage.

    Cons: The patient portal seems meaningless. It is too easy to enter data into the wrong chart. It's a good looking platform, but its overall performance drags down productivity in a big way. It takes too many clicks to perform a task. It does not give me lab values in a trend view at all. The e-prescribing takes too long. Ordering procedures is dreadfully and painfully slow and awkward. The patient portal seems meaningless.

    Pros: You need to hire office staff who have already worked with the system This being compounded with them trying to integrate with Sales force is proving to be a tragic move for this software company use a web-based system.

    Cons: When the system is down, we are seeing patients without any access to charts, labs, past records, etc. A significant amount of time is lost each day waiting for pages to load.

    Verdict: The E-prescribing (Doctor's First E-Rx) is linked to a completely different platform that does not share information with the main EHR. I suspect there are better products or better values out there.

    Pros: The way they speak to the customer is offensive and demeaning look carefully. This is not a small decision. System support is sub-par. No software is perfect, but this software is what defines that statement.

    Cons: Customer support is a joke. Wait times are always in excess of an hour or more. Uninformed management does not know the system. The thought of moving to another solution. As of late, the updates, the performance issues, and the overall experience have been poor.

    Pros: I liked the software because I found it totally customizable. Making any template was fairly easier and I could even import a template from another practice into the software. I was able to make most of my templates to shadow the hospital templates which made doctors felt at home while using it. The software also allows me to track almost everything.

    Cons: Greenway rep team can help you solve issues, but the response is not timely. There were instances where it took weeks before I got a reply from them. After complaining I was given the email and number of the person I was supposed to contact if I needed help. I think Greenway should hire more tech support.

    Verdict: Be sure that you know how to contact Greenway in case of emergencies.
