Ralph, Medical Clinic
Pros: It provides all the options you could ever need which is awesome. We are a new practice in Atlanta, and we have been using eClinicalWorks as our EHR from the start.
Cons: Support sometimes takes long time to respond to a ticket. We wanted to outsource our billing but that was a little difficult to get sorted.
Verdict: I learned about eClinicalWorks from a few colleagues and friends and I think its been suitable for our small practice. I would highly reccomend them.
Lori, Family Medical Center
Pros: I like the registry and patient portal. They make it a powerful tool for population health. The product is very easy to use and very easy to understand.
Cons: The fees and costs. They charge extra for the clinical part to run easier. There's not much else to complain about with eClinicalworks.
Verdict: We were asked to be very specific to support ACO and value-based payment models, and eCW can be quickly customized to achieve this goal.
Andrew, Framingham Pediatrics
Pros: I learn new things everyday that can make this system even more functional for my practice. It definitely saves me time and helps my billing due to the simplicity of documentation and weve had an easy time figuring out the system. Its also been very easy for staff to learn
Cons: Occasional bugs and response times from customer support.
Verdict: I've used many EHR systems throughout my medical training and eClinicalWorks is by far the most intuitive, easy to use and easy to learn system I've worked with.
Dana, Sunshine Pediatrics
Pros: It is very user friendly and allows many customization options.
Cons: If you add a note in the "claim log" and want to go back to patient's chart it saves your log even if you are not done typing
Verdict: Our office just started using the features where patients can make their own appointments online.
Shelby, Koala Center for Sleep Disorder
Pros: After switching to eClinicalWorks EMR, I have not had to worry about a server backup or hardware upgrade for our system in many years. We enjoy exceptional uptime and lots of cool features for everything from charge capture to population health management to HCC RAF capture. The eBO product delivers detailed and customizable reports. This EMR software system is agile and can be adapted to our ever-changing marketplace in a shorter time.
Cons: There are definitely some bugs and delays while trying to make the most of meaningful use.
Verdict: Most of us have been using the smart phone app to coordinate and I would choose eClinicalWorks again.
Jonathan, Avance Care
Pros: Clean interface and short learning time as compared to others.
Cons: We have to enter data twice sometimes if we end up having to access patients in 2 different places.
Verdict: Good interface easier to learn.
Val, VWE, LLC
Pros: Chart completion is done efficiently with the pre-made templates. And it runs smoothly.
Cons: Not very aesthetically pleasing and a lot of clicking.
Verdict: Provides with efficient notes when templates are in place.
Pros: You can find the workflow that fits best into your routine and its not a cookie cutter application. There are multiple ways to complete different tasks.
Cons: When an issue pops up, it can sometimes be difficult to get a hold of the vendor for a quick solution. Occasionally their developers are slow to respond. Their primary customer service is on the East Coast and I am on Pacific time.
Verdict: Its a well rounded EMR solution with good support across devices. Just make sure the software meets the needs and suits the size of your practice.
Lena, Mountain Park Health Center
Pros: Easy to utilize and ground-breaking front end. On the off chance that the item is set up effectively.
Cons: Interoperability is testing. Since the back end is restrictive, associating with standard interface motors is testing. Backing for FIHR, HL7 or IHE profiling (or OMOP) MUST include the organization.
Verdict: The organization is hard to manage when you need to port your information utilizing these devices. It is conceivable, yet extravagant and very tedious.
Stelle, Seaview LLC.
Pros: The medical billing module is very useful. eClinicalWorks has good usability.
Cons: Nothing really.
Verdict: Great customer care and a solid pick for an electronic medical record software.
Brian, Family Medicine Inc.
Pros: So far the emr system has been easy to learn and navigate. Its easy to use, quick adaptability, images integrate easily.
Cons: Training info isn't that helpful directly through the vendor, Customer service hasn't been easiest to work with.
Verdict: Its a solid emr software. The training and learning curbs might be a little difficult to get over.
Danelle, Gerstein Eye Institute
Pros: We needed an upgrade for our system, and we chose eClinicalWorks EHR. Been using it for a couple of months now and have not had any problems. The prints, notes and invoices are of great quality. Quite impressed.
Cons: Some features are not very easy to work with.
Verdict: A good EHR system with good functionality.
Andrew, Health Centre
Pros: I have used many software systems in other offices and found eClinicalWorks EHR to be the best for medical practices. It is not very huge or overly complicated. Its search system is great, and is easy to set up too.
Cons: The technical support is not as efficient.
Verdict: It is a reliable software for medium to large medical practices.
Keith, Hospital & Health Care
Pros: This EHR software does most of the job for us. It might not be the best in town, but it is probably similar to most EMRs with negligible flaws. It simplifies the financial or encounter data as well as recording of notes and billing of insurance. Their support is responsive too.
Cons: It just gets slow after an update and takes very long to pick up the speed to perform the usual tasks. That is very frustrating at times.
Verdict: eClinicalWorks EHR is not too good and not too bad.
