Developed by NeoDeck Holdings, NeoMED EHR is a user-friendly, flexible, easily customizable and bilingual (English /Spanish) electronic health records (EHR) system. It caters to the needs of small to mid-sized medical practices and only offers on-premise deployment.
NeoMED EHR features more than 100 templates covering numerous parameters including patient demographics, vital signs, laboratory results, medication, and immunization. The system also offers templates that are advised by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The best part about these templates is that they are all customizable and allow clinicians to change them according to their requirements.
NeoMED EHR represents vital signs along with other health measures in summary and graphical format which are based on the patient’s historical profile. The software strengthens practice staff with role-based, concurrent access to patient medical and financial information. NeoMED also offers remote access to medical records and the process is governed by the Continuity of Care Document (CCD) guidelines.
The system allows data entry through direct typing, speech recognition, and points and click. It allows easy evaluation of Patient Health Information through graphs, encounter summary sheets, and quality performance reporting. All data uploaded to the system is coded using standard terminology such as SNOMED-CT. The system offers reminders and alerts for preventive care, secure messaging for communication, E-prescribing with formulary checks and retrieval of medication history.
NeoMed 3.0.0.7 achieves ONC HIT 2014 Edition complete certification. The software assists eligible healthcare providers with meeting the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use measures in order to qualify for funding offered under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Another version of this software, NeoMed v. 3.0.0.7.34, has further been pre-validated to receive automatic credit toward the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for their Patient Center Medical Home Recognition (PCMH) 2014. Clinical Data in this system is structured and coded with ICD 9/10, SNOMED and RXNORM and HL7 Integration with third-party systems along with diagnostic and testing equipment is also offered.
